Hello! My name is Liam Simonelli and I am an editorial cartoonist located in my home state of New Jersey. I’m 22 years old and have been drawing since I was four.

I have had my editorial cartoons featured in numerous publications across the country. These include The Washington Post, Politico.com, The Star-Ledger, The Tampa Bay Times, The Dayton Daily News, The Staten Island Advance and more.

I hold an Associate’s Degree in New Media Communications from Mercer County Community College. I am currently attending The College of New Jersey full time, where I am pursuing a B.F.A. in Graphic Design.

In addition to working with Counterpoint Syndication, I also freelanced local-based editorial cartoons to The Jersey Journal in Hudson County, New Jersey.

I currently serve as staff editorial cartoonist for my college paper The Signal, where I draw TCNJ-based cartoons and contribute opinions and reviews.

I have received The 2022 National Mark of Excellence Award in the Editorial Cartoon category from The Society of Professional Journalists for editorial cartoons I drew for my previous school newspaper, The College VOICE. In addition, I received The 2022 College Media Award in Editorial Cartooning for my work with the same publication.

I am a student member of the AAEC (Association of American Editorial Cartoonists).
